Aladdin is a record-breaking pantomime – oh yes it is!
The production has been the Birmingham Hippodrome’s best-selling panto for 14 years, seen by more than 118,000 people.
That’s the highest attendance since 2002, with more than a third of people booking for the first time and coming from as far away as Penzance and Glasgow.
Aladdin, which closes on Sunday January 31, ran for six weeks and 74 performances, starring Marti Pellow, Julian Clary, Lee Mead and Matt Slack.

It received plenty of five-star reviews including this from Birmingham Mail.
Director Michael Harrison said: “It’s an amazing result and I want to thank the entire cast and crew who worked so hard to make this such a successful show.
